Responsibilities
- Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with talented and professional colleagues in Scrum teams to design, develop, and maintain core backend components
- Deliver Quality Code: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices and established guidelines
- Transform Ideas into Solutions: Analyze project requirements and translate them into technical designs and functional features
- Test & Optimize: Test, debug, and optimize applications to ensure top performance, stability, and scalability
- Engage with Stakeholders: Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and team members to deliver solutions that meet business and customer needs
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation efforts. Maintain and enhance existing software by troubleshooting and implementing improvements
- Stay Ahead: Keep up with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends
- Champion Quality: Contribute to test automation and quality assurance processes
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with commercial cloud services and application development
- Strong knowledge of Java, object-oriented design, and frameworks like Spring and Jersey
- Practical experience with unit and automation testing tools (e.g., JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter)
- Proven track record developing RESTful web services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, or Jersey
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, DynamoDB)
- Familiarity with build and CI/CD tools (Ant, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins)
- Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across different time zones
