The African Students Association (ASA) is a 5C student organization that aims to cultivate cultural, political and social awareness about the African continent, ensuring an intellectual and supportive space for Africans at the 5Cs. The organization aims to foster community between ASA and members of the 5C and community at large.
Membership in the African Students Association is open to all interested students of the Claremont Colleges. Students with strong interests in African-related issues, African art, politics and culture are encouraged to join the organization.
As a community organization, the African Student Association does not discriminate against people of any race, religion, color, nationality or ethnicity, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, class, marital status or disability.
