Model United Nations is an activity that fosters greater cultural and political respect and sensitivity, helps students develop a keener understanding of global politics and multilateral organizations, and improves students’ public speaking, negotiation and networking skills. The Pomona College Model United Nations Team seeks to provide an inclusive, collaborative and highly rewarding setting in which students can engage in these skills, as well as a tight-knit community that is conducive to learning, belonging and inter-personal development. Each year we attend between six to ten conferences and hold regular practices to prepare for these conferences and discuss current world events.
