This guide highlights how to complete the first sections of a student employment job posting. It instructs employers to write a detailed job description that includes required skills, qualifications, responsibilities, and the statement: "If you are a student who receives financial aid, please indicate that in your application." For summer positions, include "Summer 20XX" in the job title. Pomona College departments should select On-campus Student Employment as the position type and leave the Work-Study program box unchecked.
This guide explains how to complete the remaining job posting settings. Select a work modality (onsite, remote, or hybrid) that matches the job description. For Pomona College student jobs, choose Part-time and enter 12 hours per week. Positions should be marked Temporary or seasonal, with start and end dates reviewed by the hiring team if needed. Under pay, employers should provide a wage range using the Custom range option to comply with California salary transparency requirements.
