Human Resources
Please review the acceptable I-9 documents form, which outlines the documents required to complete your I-9 process.
You can set up direct deposit by going to the payroll office in the Pendleton Building. Make sure to bring a voided check or a direct deposit authorization form from your bank.
Log in to your Workday account and go to the menu. In the Workday apps section, select “Time.” Here, you can enter your hours for the week.
Financial Aid
The maximum amount a student can work is 12 hours per week. If students exceed the 12-hour work limit, they will be contacted by HR and given a formal warning.
Under the condition that the department you are working for has sufficient budget available, you may be eligible to exceed your work allotment. Please note, the maximum limit remains at 12 hours per week.
If you receive an Outside Scholarship you may still be eligible to work. Please contact our office financial.aid@pomona.edu
Pay Roll
You need to enter all your missed hours on the payroll excel time sheet & forward it to your supervisor & have your supervisor sign & send it to the payroll dept. for processing.
If you don’t have direct deposit set up with the payroll office for your payroll checks to be directed deposited into your bank account then your physical check gets sent to the campus mailroom where you will need to pick them up in person with your school ID.
Before you start working at any of your positions on campus you need to be 100% sure that you have been hired for that job & all your hiring paperwork have gone through the onboarding process through the HR office.
Yes, you may claim California Sick for every day that you were sick by submitting California Sick for the number of hours you were scheduled for you campus job/s each day.
If you have been hired through the HR office for all your job/s on campus & are still having difficulty logging into Workday it is best to contact the IT department at 909-621-8061 for assistance & they can ‘t assist you with perhaps resetting your username & password.

Review the SSN request process on our website
No, you just need to have visited the SSA office to request the SSN. Check early for appointment times and look at other offices not just the Pomona SSA for availability.
No, the SSN is yours forever.

On-campus departments will post opportunities via Handshake throughout the year and we encourage you to check them out by signing into your student account.
Check out the hiring manager or job owner listed on the job description. Feel free to reach out and ask if they have completed their hiring process. If you do not see a hiring manager.
We encourage students to book an advising appointment with a CDO advisor to review their application materials, such as resume, cover letter, application, etc. This could help you elevate your application in hopes of securing an interview!
