5C Hack aims to connect students across the 5Cs who are interested in computers and recreational programming, design, and software development projects. We hope to support and encourage students to explore projects outside of class and will organize events to help foster those projects. Furthermore, we hope to build connections between students and alumni in the technology industry. In addition, we host the 5C Hackathon once a year in an effort to foster an inclusive and creative environment where students from diverse backgrounds can collaborate on technology projects that address social challenges. The event emphasizes themes like “Tech for Good,” encouraging participants to develop solutions in areas such as health equity, education, sustainability, and civic engagement.
