Peer Advisors

Alessio is a Sophomore from Lima, Peru, studying Politics and Economics. While he is on the
Pre-Law Track and is interested in International Law, he is also interested in Public Sector
Consulting. When he is not working at the CDO, you can find him traveling with the Pomona
Model United Nations Team or talking with Southern California residents at the Small Claims
Advisory Service. He is also a Mentor at the International Student Mentorship Program and
works at the Admissions Office as an Academic Year Intern. He really enjoys roller coasters,
playing the violin, and going to Milk and Honey for Boba every Tuesday and Thursday…no
exceptions

Su is a sophomore double majoring in computer science and chemistry through the chemical engineering track. She is an international student from Turkey. After graduation, Su hopes to get a master’s degree in chemical engineering and pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry. She is also a Quantitative Skills Center Partner, and a member of P-ai. When not working at the CDO, you can find her at Milk and Honey getting her daily taro milk tea boba or at ISMP events hanging out with her friends. In her free time, she loves fighting the waves at the beach, trying new water sports, and dancing.

Clare is a sophomore from McLean, VA majoring in public policy analysis with a concentration in
politics. She is interested in pursuing a career in government or law. She hopes to work in
creating policy to help currently and formerly incarcerated people. When she is not at the CDO,
she is spending her time with Claremont Sustainability Consulting, 5C PrisAb, or the Claremont
Journal of Law and Public Policy.

David Arias is a junior from Los Angeles studying Economics and Portuguese. He plans to pursue a career in investment banking and strives to help increase financial literacy in underprivileged communities. When he’s not working at the CDO, David enjoys working out at the gym, practicing grappling sports, and serving as a board member of the CMC Real Estate Club.

Emily is a sophomore at Pomona (originally from the Bay Area) pursuing an intended
double major in Cognitive Science and Economics with hopes of going into product design or
management. Outside of the CDO, Emily is the president of Claremont Design Co, and a UX
designer and team lead for The Graphite Group. She also loves refining her practice in art —
drawing, painting, printmaking, etc.

Katie is a sophomore studying Politics and English and calls Boise, Idaho her home. She is
hoping to attend law school after her time at Pomona and is open to exploring many fields of
law. When she’s not working at the CDO, Katie is participating in Pomona’s Mock Trial Team,
writing for the Claremont Journal of Law and Public Policy, and volunteering for the Small
Claims Advisory Service. She also enjoys playing tennis, singing, learning Latin, and watching
basketball.

Ulas is a senior majoring in Computer Science with a newfound interest in Neuroscience. They
are from Turkey and are hoping to go into a people-facing Tech role. They are juggling roles in
the All-Gender Volleyball Club, the Turkish Student Association, the ISMP, and the CDO on top
of their CS, Psych, and Piano classes. They are looking forward to spending quality time with
close friends and fostering caring, inclusive spaces. They are a firm advocate of stepping out of
comfort zones and initiating/encouraging vulnerability to form deeper emotional connections.

Vidusshi Hingad is a junior majoring in Psychological Science and PPA Poli. Her home is Mumbai, India. As a true liberal arts student, she has diverse interests and passions. Some thematic threads that tie her passions together are 1) working with people (in teams) and 2) understanding behaviour to discover solutions.

As a first-generation South Asian woman, she is interested in representing marginalised communities by advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion.

When she is not working at the Career Development Office, you can find her at ASPC senate (as the Junior Class President), hanging out with her mock trial team or planning events with the other psychology liaisons. When she is not doing the above, you can catch her at Bua Thai or watching Arrested Development. Occasionally, you can find her performing stand up!
