Peer Advisors

Andrew, a senior originally from southwest Missouri, is majoring in International Relations and
has conducted research abroad in a dozen countries. He looks forward to assisting Pomona
students with career exploration, drawing on his experience in the consulting, entertainment,
and nonprofit industries.

Defne is a member of the Class of 2029 from Istanbul, Türkiye, intending to major in
Astrophysics. She spent the summer doing SURP, and she is still deciding whether she wants to
pursue a career in academia. When Defne is not at CDO, you can find her in any classroom in
Estella or with her friends at the quad, or at the Pitzer pool.

Leili is a second-year student at Pomona from San Francisco. She intends to major in Sociology
and Media Studies. Outside of the CDO, Leili is a tour guide for the admissions office, writes for
TSL and volunteers at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center. Leili hopes to pursue a career in
teaching or work in the non-profit sector.

Lilian is an economics student at Pomona College in her senior year. She is originally from
Vancouver Canada but loves escaping the rain to Shanghai during the fall and winter. Lilian
plans to explore a career in the financial industries in the international sector. In her free time,
she enjoys learning about new creative technologies and products and exploring new
restaurants, cafes, and good eats across the world. On campus, Lilian is also the Managing
Director of Pomona Consulting Group.

Mark is a sophomore studying International Relations. Mark is from Longmont, Colorado, and is
pursuing a career in foreign affairs and national security. Outside his work at the CDO, Mark is a
research assistant for IR faculty, the Secretary General of Pomona Model UN, and writes for
Claremont’s IR journal.

Quincy is a Sophomore at Pomona College majoring in Media Studies, with a minor in Sociology
or English. She was born in Beijing, China but currently calls Kobe, Japan home. She hopes to
pursue a career in the film and entertainment industry. When Quincy is not at the CDO, you can
find her avidly writing her next film column for TSL or cafe hopping.

Sarah is a member of the class of 2028 from the Philadelphia area, majoring in Public Policy
Analysis with an Economics concentration. She plans to pursue a career in the energy sector.
When she’s not at the CDO, Sarah loves trying out new restaurants!

Timi is a senior studying Computer Science with minors in Cognitive Science and History. She
calls Glen Burnie, Maryland, home and hopes to pursue software or cloud engineering. When
she’s not at the CDO, you can find Timi at the gym, reading, or volunteering.

Tobi is a senior from South Korea studying philosophy and data science. He intends to pursue a career in the legal industry, particularly by shaping ethical pathways for technological development. Outside of the CDO, you can find him playing the bass in Little Bridges or beach volleyball on Walker Beach.
