Fulbright Recommendation
Thank you for agreeing to write a recommendation for one of our students who is applying for a Fulbright Grant! Below are instructions for writing recommendations for the two major types of grants that Fulbright offers.
Recommendations for Study/Research Grants
Applications for study/research grants require standard letters of recommendation detailing the candidate’s ability to undertake the project he or she has proposed. Directions for writing study/research grant references. These letters should be signed and saved on official letterhead. You will receive instructions for uploading these letters as soon as the applicant enters your email address into the system. Please upload them directly to the Fulbright Online application system website by our internal deadline of September 16, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
Recommendations for English Teaching Assistantships (ETAs)
While applications for Study/Research grants require standard letters of recommendation, ETA applications require a Recommendation Form instead. These reference forms ask a series of questions about the applicant’s ability to teach English abroad. You can see a sample form at Fulbright’s website. You will receive instructions over email about completing this form as soon as the applicant enters your email address into the system. Please complete these forms by our internal deadline of September 16, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
